Monday Motivation: Flawless Days

I’m a firm believer that self-development and growth are key in ensuring that you are the best version of yourself that you can possible be. And as I look towards improving myself both personally and professionally I have found a number of things that have helped me to achieve more flawless days.  What is a flawless day? I hear you ask, well I shall tell you…

Typically for me it is being able to accomplish more each day than a not so flawless day. So if you’ve been lacking a bit of motivation, stuck in a rut of not knowing where to start, here are few things that have definitely helped me achieve a more productive day.

Waking Up Earlier

For some this may not apply, but for those who currently love a lie in read and read well! It’s so easy to hit the snooze button when the alarm goes off, or to set your an alarm for a time that doesn’t really allow you to get ready without rushing. However, I’ve found that you get more out of your day when you wake up early. Not only do you create time in the morning to add a few extra additions to your routine but you will notice that you also have more energy and enthusiasm to attach the day.

Eat Breakfast

For me eating breakfast is a must! It just sets the tone for the day and I find that after having a breakfast to kick start my day I am always at my best (well it keeps me going until lunch at least). When I haven’t had breakfast, or I should rather say when I am hungry, I tend to get cranky, and being cranky is obviously not a good state of mind to have if you want to get anything done productively and adequately. So, I strongly recommend that you invest in some time to ensure that you start your day right with a nutritious breakfast everyday (I hope you noticed the emphasis placed on the word nutrias there?).

Plan

For me planning is everything, yes, things in the day may occur that may take you of course slightly but to simply put it failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Spend Your Time Wisely

We all know that procrastination is the thief of time, and I’ve learnt to utilise all the time that God has graced us with. I can’t lie, at times procrastination is so tempting, it’s easier to lay in bed all day and watch TV but before you know it it’s already 3pm.. Don’t all procrastination to be a thief of your time because your time is precious and there are things to do!

Here’s to another flawless week! I would love to hear of the things that help you achieve productivity…
