Motivation Monday: 2016 Lingo

Happy Monday Petals! And a Happy New Year Once Again!

It’s the first Monday of 2016, meaning the first Monday Motivation post of the year (wahey!)

So I was racking my brains towards the last few days of 2015 as to what I could possibly kick start the series with. And nothing really came to me. But as I type this, what comes to me is to talk about 2016 lingo.

If you’re looking for the latest slang and street talk, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but that’s not where I’m going with this post. However, I’m sure we are all familiar with the phrase ‘action speaks louder than words’ rather I believe that words and actions are the seeds of those actions. Our words can actually tell a whole lot about how we are feeling. So I thought for 2016 we need to switch up our vocabulary and use more positive words to help boost our motivation, self-confidence as well as to help encourage others. By doing so, we will all see the benefits and definitely feel more confident in ensuring that our 2016 targets and goals are achieved.

So, if you’re stuck on which words to use, I’ve got a few suggestions to help you start:

First up is the word WILL. Because you have faith in your abilities and skills you WILL achieve every personal and professional goal and target set for yourself this year.

Even when you’re taken out of you’re comfort zone, you don’t run away at first sight, that you can ‘try’ or ‘maybe’ have a go. But rather because you know you ‘CAN’ you say that you ‘CAN’.

Equally, because you are a go getter regardless of how challenging the task at hand may seem you ‘DEFINITELY’ will see it through.

As this year I’m also encouraging us all to have an attitude of gratitude, ‘THANK YOU’ and THANKFUL’ also slip off our tongues.

I would love to know what other positive words you think will help to ensure that we have a good year of positive and motivational lingo, so please do share!

Have An Awesome Day!
